A New Tradition

Tonight Trav took Kit up to the church, to listen to the General Priesthood Session broadcast for this weekend's conference. They left early because the deacons were having pizza beforehand. That meant that J-bird and I were on our own again - which she didn't entirely appreciate. She's always with me, but she's a Daddy's Girl at heart. Right to her very core.

So I decided to start a new tradition with her. The We-Get-to-Stay-Home-and-Make-COOKIES-Together-While-Dad-and-Kit-Are-at-the-Priesthood-Broadcast tradition! Woohooooo! So we put on our aprons, washed our hands, pulled up a chair (so J-bird could actually *see* what we were making), and put on our aprons. We decided on oatmeal/butterscotch cookies.
Recipe forthcoming.

Getting it all ready.

Mixing it up.

Tastes good so far!

YUMMY!

Enjoying the finished product.
With milk, of course.
(Please note the scrubbed baby with washed hair and nightie.)

Post-biscuit:

teeth were brushed
face was wiped
hair was combed
diaper was checked
two books were read
baby was rocked
cheeks were kissed
lullaby was crooned
and baby was launched for Dreamland
all before the organ prelude was scheduled to start in Salt Lake City.

Yeah - I really, really love this new Mummy-Daughter activity.
