We got a new sofa! FINALLY. After nearly 17 years of marriage, we will have a sofa to call our own! OUT with the futon, in with the couch. It won't arrive until August, so what a fun anniversary gift, eh? As is our family way, we bought it on sale and got a GREAT deal at Macy's. It's just a basic couch without a lot of frills, but IT'S A COUCH! I am sooooo excited about it.
The reason it's taking so long is because we made a custom order - the color is lighter than the pic: buckwheat.
What I *really* wanted was a PB Greenwich sofa, but I really couldn't stomach the $1800+ price tag. So instead, we got this and after eight years or so, when there's no longer small children in our home, maybe we'll upgrade. But until then, I am HAPPY!
