Jena had her first birthday today! We celebrated at home with a just-for-baby carrot cake with pink cream cheese frosting that I whipped up for the occasion. I also made a special pink birthday dress for her, complete with pale green satin bows, soft yellow gingham lining, and a cute birthday cupcake appliqued to the front. (And I only swore once while sewing it. Progress!)
Jena received lovely, sure-to-be favorite gifts, including her first baby doll. We really enjoyed the evening together, and shared in our love and delight for such a delightful member of our family.
